When I got divorced in 2017, things were pretty hairy for me as a newly single mum.

My kids were 6 and 12 at the time, and there was a LOT going on that I tried my best to shield them from:

- no job

- my only bank account was in the red

- constantly chased by debt collectors

- phone got cut off more than once for non-payment

- couldn't afford to keep the family home

- my mental health was so bad I considered ending it all

- plus trying to "co-parent" with a narcissist is always a good time

As a mum, when you're in this situation, your only priority is your kids and your survival.

Your sole focus when you wake in the morning is making sure there's food on the table and your kids have a warm bed to sleep in.

That's what Tiny life gave me, that nothing else could.

I walked away from my divorce with a cheap block of land I couldn't build on because no lender in their right mind would give me a home loan. Fair call, honestly.

If I had my time again, I wouldn't have chosen to live in a $2,000 freezing cold piece of shit caravan on that block- I would have sold that block and bought a Tiny House!!

The reason I didn't do that at the time?

Renting land to live in a Tiny House just wasn't a thing yet!

But it's 2025.
