How I MANIFESTED my dream Tiny House parking spot by the beach

“Woo woo” post incoming!
If you’re new to manifesting, it really just means “making something real” that only existed before in your mind.
It’s an incredibly powerful tool I’ve been using for various things for a number of years now, so I knew what I had to do when the time was right for me to uproot my life and move to the beach last year!!
I’ve ALWAYS wanted to live by the beach, since my first island vacation when I was 21 actually! It was a pretty big scary leap for me to consider moving away from my first Tiny House, from the now familiar bush area of Mount Egerton where I’d been for 5 years on my own land, when I had lived in western Victoria for 25 years, basically my entire adult life!
Considering moving to an entirely different place two hours away, in an area I was unfamiliar with, where I had no network or support system, AND would need to find a parking spot that could offer power and water- was a pretty bloody scary thing!!
I actually didn’t realise until writing this what a massively pivotal decision this was for me…! eek.
Our body and nervous system rejects things it deems to be unsafe and unfamiliar. By making your desired location feel familiar and therefore safe, it is magnetised to you.
With that knowledge in mind, here are some of the things I did to bring my beach house one step closer:
LOCATION IMMERSION
Seeing and experiencing the beach town I wanted to live in was a non negotiable for me.
I immersed myself in the location at every possible opportunity, I must have done at least two dozen day trips to the area over a few months period! I went for beach walks, swims, went shopping and dining out in the local area. I got to know some of the local shopkeepers, and asked them for some local intel about hidden gems- which I of course then visited. I shopped at my new local IGA. I tried my new local pizza place. When I visited, I behaved like a local- I dressed down, said hello to every passer-by, bought my coffee from the same cafe as the locals. I immersed myself in the vibe of the place so I got a sense of what it felt like to actually live there.
SCENT ANCHORING
There was a gift shop in Point Lonsdale I visited often, and they had the most beautiful turquoise blue glass jar beach candles! Every day when I lit one, my mind went to that place by the beach where I bought it. I can’t even count how many ocean-inspired candles I went through! Yes it was quite the investment
I also created a "beach jar". I bought a glass Maison jar and took it to the beach, where I added a small handful of sand, some shells, and a piece of seaweed, then filled it with water. It looked like a mini ocean in a jar! I kept it on a shelf in my Tiny House where I could see it every day. And when I opened the lid, that heady salty/seaweedy smell took my mind right to the beach I made it on, making it feel so much closer.
LANGUAGE
Replace IF with WHEN.
Instead of saying “if” I find a spot, or “if” I end up by the beach- say “WHEN I move to the beach”.
Using IF means there’s the possibility of it never happening, whereas WHEN means it’s just a matter of time. Nuances are important.
VISUALS
Every time I visited the area, I’d take loads of photos. I used these as my desktop wallpaper, and my phone Lock Screen. Seeing it every day made it feel so normal to be there, that after a few visits in real life, I felt like I was coming home (that’s the goal!).
PASSWORDS
I changed all my passwords on all devices to variations of “beach house” and the township name. Every day when I logged into my computer my brain was adding these to the “this is normal and familiar” pile.
After now being in my glorious new Tiny House for a year (that’s within walking distance of one of the beaches I visualised), I can confidently say that all the time I invested in driving, all the petrol (oh the petrol!!) and candles I bought were 10,000% worth it.
I’m living my dream because I gave the universe no alternative
You can too.
