What does this tattoo have to do with how we run ParkMyTinyHouse?

One thing you may not know about me is that I spent the entire decade of my twenties in the banking sector.

No it was definitely not in alignment with my goals for my life, but your twenties are one long learning experience, right?? 😅

The reason I tell you this is that the last boss I had in that career gave me a nickname:

“Shimmery Shiny Briony”.

If you’ve ever met me in person, this probably makes sense to you- I’m a very positive, upbeat and optimistic person. I always see the best in people and situations, despite being burned so many times you’d probably forgive me for becoming a cynical old cow!

It’s the reason I got this colourful phoenix tattoo a few years ago.

I wanted something that symbolised that you CAN go through a world of hurt and rise from the ashes as a glorious, shining beacon of positivity.

To my mind, if I’d let myself become the cynical scorned woman people expected, I’d have let them win.

My act of rebellion is unbridled optimism.

That’s the foundational ethos of ParkMyTinyHouse.

It’s to show you that contrary to the negativity you’ve undoubtedly seen in Facebook groups, there are THOUSANDS of us happily living in Tiny Houses long term.
